Willie has worked at Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare for a span of almost 30 years. During this time, he has served in many capacities in mental health, addictive disease, child and adolescent and developmental disabilities. Currently, he serves as Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), which encompasses overseeing the day-to-day clinical and community operations of mental health, addictive disease, and child and adolescent services, ranging from outpatient, residential, and community-based services.

Willie’s early career journey with Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare began as a Human Service Technician (HST) working at the Addiction Recovery Center, a substance abuse residential program, for males ages 18 and above. He was later promoted to a Human Services Technician 2 position at a substance abuse day program. After two years of working in this capacity, he was promoted to the position of Director of the Addiction Recovery Center where his career first began.

Shortly thereafter, Willie advanced to the position of Director of Child and Adolescent Services which included supervision of a conglomeration of both public and private providers of child and adolescent services throughout Southwest Georgia, ranging from day treatment, inpatient, outpatient, case management, and medical services. After gaining tenure in this position, Willie would then be promoted to several different positions to include Director of Outpatient Services, Director of Specialty Services, Chief Clinical Officer of Specialty Services and finally, his current position of Chief Clinical Officer for Behavioral Health, Addictive Disease and Child and Adolescent Services.

Willie has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Delta State University, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State College, – now known as Fort Valley State University – Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
