Chief Human Resources Officer
Ryan joined the Middle Flint Behavioral HealthCare team in August of 2013. During his tenure at the agency, he has held multiple positions in the Human Resources department. Initially hired as a Human Resource Analyst 2, his responsibilities included onboarding new staff, creating job announcements, assisting employees with their insurance benefit enrollment, and numerous other Human Resources duties.
In 2018, Ryan was promoted to the position of Workforce Development Director overseeing the agency training department. Later in 2018, a restructuring took place, and the training department was placed under the Human Resource umbrella, and he took over the position of Human Resource Director (later renamed Chief Human Resources Officer).
Ryan is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer and oversees the department which is responsible for Human Resources, Training and Payroll. Payroll was added to the Human Resources department in 2020.
He holds previous Human Resource experience from his time as the Human Resource and Safety Manager for Glover Wholesale Company, Human Resource Coordinator for Albany Technical College and Human Resource and Safety Director for Tolleson Lumber Company.
Ryan was born in Tallahassee, Florida, and raised in Thomasville, Georgia. He graduated from Thomas County Central High School in 1993 and immediately moved to Americus, Georgia, to attend Georgia Southwestern State University.
Initially majoring in education with the hopes of one day becoming a basketball coach, Ryan later changed his major to Business Administration and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration.
After graduation, Ryan decided to make Americus his permanent home. Currently Ryan lives just outside the city limits with his wife Nicole Hoffman, their two children Kyler (12) and Baylor (3), and their three dogs (DeeDee, Mae and Acuna). His children attend Schley County school system in Ellaville, Georgia, and his wife, Nicole, is the math department chair at Taylor County High School in Butler, Georgia.
